Manchester City-Laporte, negotiations continue: the latest

Manchester City is not giving up on their effort to sign Aymeric Laporte but are waiting for developments from Bilbao in order to close the negotiations within the week. There is an agreement between the club and player for a contract of 5 years, but are still awaiting the final ok to pay the 65 million euro release clause. There are still some details that have to be worked out between the player and his current club, which his agent is working on now. Manchester City is remaining calm in hope of giving the player to Pep Guardiola as a reinforcement now in January.
