Lyon's president Aulas: "We won't underestimate Atalanta. Tolisso-Juventus? They were close last year"

Jean-Michel Aulas' Lyon want to prove their qualities amid PSG and Monaco's powers. Their philosophy has remained the same: preparing youngsters and making them start at the highest level. It's about the same philosophy than Atalanta, who will face the French side in Europa League.

Lyon's president Aulas has made some statements about their Italian opponent to La Gazzetta dello Sport: "We know Atalanta is a great team, we won't underestimate them because it's an interesting challenge. Our fans will be happy to go to Bergamo, there will be a great atmosphere. Obviously, we'll be pleased to welcome Atalanta's fans at Lyon".

An Atalanta with many gifted players: "It's never nice to point out names, we've got a great team culture at Lyon and put it ahead of everyone. I can only tell that we are studying them". One of them should definitively be Spinazzola, who's been put out of the squad after this summer: "I've read it:if a player is wanted by Juventus it should mean something. I'll only say we'll be happy to watch him closely".

Aulas has also seen Andrea Agnelli at Geneva, who's become the new Eca president: "Agnelli was the best candidate. I've leaned to him because, even in his team gestion, he puts together economic facts and sportive results".

Juventus could indeed win a record Lyon already have won: winning seven title in a row: "They have a great team so why not? They could also do it in Champions League. Anyway, I think Serie A will be way more equilibrated. Juventus were very close to Tolisso last year. They haven't shown any particular interest this year. They've obviously switched from target. Roma have got a great player with Gonalons, a player you can trust and who's played a lot for us".
