After fighting through injuries that slowed him down last season, the true Luis Alberto is now returning, with all the magic and great touches. He scored twice against Parma and now hopes to close out the season with his best.
"This season was a bit strange, especially in the first three months. I was playing with problems that lingered from last season. But since December, thanks to physical improvements and a personal trainer, I was regaining form. Also, with the new position that Inzaghi gave me, I began to play good matches and with the continuity that I had. I was doing well but was missing a small piece, thank God I got it back."
Alberto then spoke on the Coppa Italia and Champions League. "The Coppa is a title, that also gives you the opportunity to play for another and to play in Europa League the next year. On the other hand, Lazio hasn't played in Champions League in years and for me it's a dream to play on that level one day. Between the two, I'd pick Champions League."
On his personal goals: "I hope that a club like Real Madrid calls me, but now I'm concentrating on qualifying for Champions League with Lazio, something I had promised to Igli Tare in a face to face conversation."
