After two seasons at Torino, Pontus Jansson is starting the next chapter of his career at Leeds. Cellino's club acquired the defender on loan with the option to buy, here is the official announcement of the deal:

"We are delighted to announce the signing of Swedish international defender Pontus Jansson on a season-long loan from Torino. Jansson, who becomes Garry Monk’s tenth summer signing, finalised his switch to Elland Road on Wednesday evening after taking in our Sky Bet Championship encounter with Fulham the previous night. The 25-year-old, a six-foot-five centre-back, has previously worked under United assistant boss Pep Clotet during his time with homeland outfit Malmo FF, where he began his professional career. Jansson, who has eight senior Sweden caps to his name and was named in their Euro 2016 squad this summer, spent five years with the Malmo first-team before making the switch to Italy in summer 2014. The defender featured 15 times in Serie A prior to linking up with the United squad, where he takes shirt number 18"
