Lecce are looking to make a splash on transfer market after returning to Serie A following a seven year absence. The salentini continue to pursue Burak Yilmaz who is currently in Germany recovering from an injury, while Besiktas gave him the captain’s armband, the Turkish striker appears to have decided to leave Istanbul.
While Lecce considered other options including Babacar, they already have an agreement on personal terms with Yilmaz and now just need to convince Besiktas who is doing all they can to convince him to stay. Lecce are hopeful to closed the deal by next week, Yilmaz would be available to play by the forth or fifth match of the season as he rehabs his injury, by signing him by mid August, Yilmaz would have time to acclimate to his new team.
