Old glory returned to the Stadio Olimpico under the Curva Nord, as Juan Sebastian Veron returned to Rome, in the stadium where he won the scudetto in 2000. Prior to the Lazio-Sassuolo match, Veron spoke to the crowd: "Thank you, I spent fantastic years here, I bring inside the affection that you always showed me."
Veron smiled and thanked the curve and his former fans. While with Lazio, Veron appeared 72 times and scored 14 goals from 1999-2001. Yesterday he met with Inzaghi in Formello and today was gifted a special #23 jersey from president Lotito, a shirt from winning times.
