Despite showing appreciation for the offer made to him by Milan and Paolo Maldini, Lazio's sporting director Igli Tare made his choice to remain with the Biancocelesti. The Albanian made his decision in the light of his excellent relationship with Lazio's president Lotito and with the Biancocelesti's environment in general.
Tare, who has been at Lazio since 2009, didn't want to leave the club during the transfer window. The decision to stay at the club, moreover, was not dictated by economic motives, as Tare will continue his work with the Biancocelesti without signing a contract extension.
After that their offer to Tare was turned down by Tare, now Milan will have to seek a different option for the sporting director role.
