A face to face meeting that lasted two hours. Lazio president Claudio Lotito met with manager Simone Inzaghi at the club’s training facility to discuss their future plans, but a final decision will only be made after some subsequent meetings. Inzaghi is in fact one of the top candidates to replace Max Allegri at Juventus and wants to understand how that situation will develop after meeting with the bianconeri’s sporting director Fabio Paratici.
Lotito confirmed that he wants to extend the current contract with Inzaghi which expires in 2020 while also offering a raise. During the meeting Inzaghi expressed dissatisfaction with the club’s silence during the difficult parts of the season and while Lotito wants a clear picture of the future before the team’s retreat starts on July 12th. Lotito has also publicly stated that Inzaghi’s departure would sadden him, but now Simone must answer.
