Lucas Leiva's move to Lazio has been a unqualified success. The ex-Liverpool midfielder has featured in the lineup and has helped the Roman club maintain a top-four position in the league. Leiva spoke to the official channel for Serie A, discussing his new adventure: "For me playing at Lazio represents a brand new opportunity, it's the club in Italy that opened its doors to me, it means being able to live in Roma, a wonderful city, but above all it means being at a club with a great history: the atmosphere is amazing. I am Brazilian, but I have Italian roots: I was born on a farm, and I identify with Brazil in the way I love the sun and music, and also in the way I play the game of football: aggressive, but technical. I have a passion for horses, I was thinking of naming my next one Ciro but I think that I ought to think up a new one, I'm not sure Immobile would like it. To me playing football is a dream, and I am living it still today. My promise to Lazio's fans? I will always give 100% on the pitch, I will never give up."
