In an interview, Lazio president Claudio Lotito spoke about his coach, Filipo Inzaghi, coming off a Coppa Italia trophy win for the club. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport via a live Facebook conversation, Lotito spoke about Inzaghi: "Inzaghi leaving Lazio? It would pain me. He represents our history, for as long as I've been president. As a player he was always one of the first ones available, even despite physical problems we never thought about taking him out. He was starting out in the youth team, it appeared that he was close to Salernitana, but then he was promoted up to the first team, against everyone's expectations. He has done well."

And on the future? "My view, he stays. On my side, there is a caring and trusting relationship, I wouldn't consider getting rid of him. But I don't know what he desires. I must say that he has always been dedicated to us. Juve? Why isn't Lazio considered as a major destination? With Tare and Inzaghi there are very positive feelings, we are a club on the rise. Juventus spends 480 milliion, four times what we do. Juventus is used to purchasing land already built, we instead are constructing it little by little. It would pain me if he were to leave, many don't uinderstand the kind of relationship I have with him."
