Lazio continued their winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Genoa and now sit just 1 point below Juventus in the Serie A standings. Manager Simone Inzaghi spoke to the press following the victory.

"Seeing players who don't have the luck to always play be protagonists is my greatest satisfaction. Vavro is an example, who played a good match in a difficult stadium. He has Acerbi ahead of him, who didn't even miss a training. Today something happened and he took advantage of it. The same discussion goes for Marusic and Cataldi. It was a complicated match that we played very well. Genoa was in good health, with ties and wins in their last four matches. Having scored only one goal in the last three, today we scored three goals. The only drawback was not being able to close the game out."

"Acerbi had a problem on Thursday, we kept him resting. He wanted to be there at all costs, but he felt some pain in warm-ups. I think that he'll be ready for the Bologna match."

"Juventus? Talking about others is always difficult. They have 60 points, an incredible rhythm like us and Inter. We have the obligation to try and stay in contact. 25 days have passed, 16 victories and 4 ties. Incredible numbers, we'd be on top of other leagues. Here we have two rivals that are two battleships, but the players know that they must only look at themselves, trying to grow in every training. All matches are difficult in Serie A. It's normal that the matches of others can help us."

"It's good to be out of the cup matches? I'm not in agreement. For us, the cups from the last years represent great satisfaction. This year we left Europa League for our faults and not just that. Fans? They're very important for us. This is another day that they'll stay inside, there were 5,000 today at the Marassi. My players hear then, they're our weapon."
