Lazio were defeated in their test against Juventus, losing by a 3-1 final score to the league's current champions. Afterwards, coach Simone Inzaghi spoke to Dazn to comment on the performance: "I think that it's difficult to comment on a 3-1 when you see what transpired on the field. Something is missing for us. When we conceded the 1-1 goal we also had a miss off the bar. We brought it onto ourselves. For large parts of the match we were in control. We are regressing, there are so many games. We were on an important run and in the key moment there are important players missing. We are a strong squad and we must go forward. The first goal upsets me because for the first 37' we didn't allow a shot. To win in Turin it requires a perfect match, and in the past we've done that. When you make mistakes here you will not win."
The team is well constructed, I have little to say on the absences. It's a problem that when we are at our best we are missing Ramos and Radu who are important players. It's too bad because they could have been there in the Champions League. We know we are going backwards but we want to show our best in the coming matches."
