The decision has been made and there is no room for ambiguity “Geoffrey wants to stay at Valencia, he won’t wear Inter’s jersey again” This is what Kondogbia’s brother and agent Evans had to say about his sibling and client’s future in an exclusive interview with GianlucaDiMarzio.com “He’s happy, he’s comfortable there. He found a nice home, the family is happy, so he asked me specifically to follow his wishes. No more Inter, the priority is Valencia”

The Spanish club has a €25 million option to buy Kondogbia’s next summer, this is what Evans had to say about the situation:”I spoke recently with the club, and the president reiterated their intention of using this option. Then it will depend on Inter’s intentions with Cancelo. We’ll certainly wait for as long as possible because Valencia is my brother’s request. But I need to do my job and be ready for any possibility, in fact I’ve already been contacted by three clubs: one from Premier League, a Spanish one and one from Italy”

Awhile back there was some controversy when Evans stated that “Inter is too tough a club for him, there are better players” but today he wanted to explain what he meant:”I’m being honest I swear. We never did anything against Inter, we never made statements against the fans, journalists, club or manager. What I meant is maybe he isn’t of the stature to play for a team like that, I said that in Spain and was reported incorrectly in Italy. If he couldn’t prove himself in two years, there must be a reason? If he did well at Sevilla, Valencia and Monaco but poorly at Inter it must mean he needs a team that understands him, where you don’t feel too much negative pressure: the bottom line is Inter made a mistake getting Kondogbia and he made a mistake going there”

Could things have gone better at Milan, a club that also pursued Kondogbia when he was at Monaco:”He wanted Inter, that is what he told Galliani when he had increased his offer. But today thinking about it, maybe at Milan they know how to handle outside issues. For me the issue was in the environment, everyone knows about everything that happens internally. While my brother needs peace to do well”
