Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo spoke to the media ahead of the marquee tie between Juventus and Barcelona. The match at the Camp Nou will feature Ronaldo's Juve facing Messi and the rest of the blaugrana team who are three points ahead in the current standings. Here were Pirlo's comments:
"In the first match we committed too many mistakes. Against a team like Barcelona, we know that they will take the game to you. But we are calm and we want to face them with a fresh view: in the derby for instance our attack differed between first and second halves. From the 45' on we were winning all the duels and that is the DNA of Juve: never give up."
"Coming in first would be important, mainly in terms of growth and personal belief. And I do not believe in a crisis at Barcelona: they are a great team."
"I agree with Koeman, it's not appropriate to ask such a question. They are two superstars who bring joy to millions of fans and do good for the world of football, we must thank them. If CR7 is more prolific it's because he's been in a position to always succeed."
"Buffon trained with us the last two days, he deserves an important stage, tomorrow could be his match."
