Adrien Rabiot's first season with Juventus has not gotten off to the most convincing start, considering he's just played 206 minutes between Serie A and Champions League. The conditions grow day after day, but Sarri has preferred Khedira and Matuidi over the former PSG midfielder, who's needing to force his way for minutes.
Matuidi spoke on this with L'Equipe, mentioning that it takes time for everyone to adapt: "There's great competition, but I know that Adrien will help us win important titles. Last year he had a difficult season, he needs to adapt himself into a league that he doesn't know and he's doing it well. For me he is not a rival, but a teammate and we will fight together for the same shirt. I have a special relationship with him, we see each other a lot both on and off the pitch. I helped him at first with the language, but now he's learning."
