Thiago Silva to Juventus for free? Marotta clears things up. He said a few comments on Friday night about the 32-year old ex-Milan defender, who has been heavily rumored to move to Juve on a free transfer. Yesterday, Marotta was more precise in his words: "I just said that he's a great player," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport - "He's a PSG player, I don't know if he wants to return to Italy or if Juve could open negotiations for him." Just like we anticipated on our site last night, it's difficult that the player would be able to leave on a free. Thiago Silva's contract expires in 2018 - it could expire earlier in 2017 in the (unlikely) event that PSG does not qualify for next year's Champions League.
