Juventus, Mandzukic suffers injury with Croatia: "it could be a big problem"

In Croatia's 1-1 draw on Friday that cost coach Ante Cacic his job with the team, Mario Mandzukic, the Juventus forward, scored in the 57th minute, then was forced off in the 60th after receiving a knock on his ankle. Cacic, commenting on the injury after the match, before his later dismissal, did little to ease the fears of followers of both Croatia and Juventus: "The problem with Mario could be serious, he left the pitch hobbling even though his pain threshold is very high. In the next few days we will see what happens, and what we must do about it."
