The market is heating up for Juventus. At the forefront of everyone’s minds is the situation relating to the future of Paul Pogba. The French midfielder seems increasingly likely to be heading to Old Trafford to join Manchester United, with Juventus’ management ready to move to find a replacement. Much of the focus will be on Andre Gomes, the primary objective for the midfield, along with Matic, for which Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has yet give the go ahead for the sale.
New contacts have been initiated in the last several hours with Jorge Mendes, the agent to Andre Gomes, who, incidentally owns a percentage of the 23 year old player, who has not yet sealed a move to Real Madrid. Negotiations are ongoing between Mendes and Juventus’ President Agnelli, with the hope that an agreement can be reached allowing Mendes to keep a percentage of the possible resale of the player.
An exceptional target in this market, Juventus has already offered 30 million, plus 20 million in bonuses for the Portuguese midfielder. However, it appears that an offer of 40 millions as part fixed bonus will be required to convince the Spanish club and close with Jorge Mendes for his share. Contacts will continue, as Juventus work to find a suitable replacement for Pogba: Andre Gomes is in pole position.
