Juventus talisman Giorgio Chiellini is ready to return to first-team action. The Italian international defender told Sky Sport that; "Last season I missed only one game, even if it turned out to be the most important, the Champions League Final against Barcelona. Now, I'm ready to return from this lay-off, starting from Saturday and going right through until the middle of July".
He continued by stating that; "My team-mates deserve credit, they've extended the gap on Napoli and almost got past Bayern Munich in the Champions League. They're one of the strongest teams in the world but we merited the qualification". Returning to the race for the Serie A title Chiellini explained that; "There are eight league matches and a Coppa Italia Final left, its better to be going into these matches at the top as the destiny is in our own hands. The championship will be decided at the end of April and I hope to score the key goal that would give us the Scudetto".
Finally, a word about the national team and his future within it. He declared that; "It was a pity what happened in Germany this week but we are making progress. In May we will have time to prepare and do a great Euro 2016. In regards to my future, I hope to go to the next World Cup, but it will not be easy with the qualification group we are in".
