Juventus are turning the page from the Ronaldo era and focusing on the future. The bianconeri's sporting director Federico Cherubini outlined the club's plans while discussing Ronaldo's departure in a recent interview with Tuttosport.
On Ronaldo's departure:"There were mo margins to keep him. Some decisions aren't negotiated. So for the good of the club, it was the right thing to focus on future and not force him to stay. The choice wasn't if Ronaldo leaves how do we replace him, but rather we need to anticipate a chunk of the future, which we would have started to build on next season. We had no signals from Ronaldo that he was leaving week before Udinese match.
Cherubini went on:"I don't want to be a hypocrite and say that handling the Ronaldo situation on August 28th was ideal, had it happened a month before it would have been better for everyone"
