After a 2-0 win in the first leg in Portugal, and a 1-0 win in the second leg in Italy, Juventus successfully overcame Porto. As it stands, the Italian Champions are in the top 8 clubs in Europe, with the draw for the quarter finals scheduled for Friday. In the mean time, Leonardo Bonucci spoke to Sky Sport:
“I think it’s fair to say that what we achieved was our primary objective that a club like Juve is obligated to reach. We’re among the best 8 clubs in Europe and now it is up to us to improve and reach as high as possible. The draw? The option that motivates me the most is Barcelona: They completed an epic comeback and playing them would push us even more, especially after the final from two years ago. If I had to pick someone to avoid, I’d say Bayern Munich: A complete squad. With Ancelotti they found a new way to interpret the game, while remaining the same winning club like they have been with Guardiola. In a single match anything can happen, but across two legs they’re the toughest to face”.
