The operation is now official: Matheus Pereira (class of 1998) is leaving Juventus on a transfer to Barcelona in a swap for Alejandro Marques (class of 2000). Juventus made the deal official with an announcement on their website.
Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that it has entered into the following agreements with FC Barcelona: “a temporary and free transfer, until June 30, 2020, of the rights to the player Matheus Pereira da Silva. The contract also provides the obligation for Barcelona to acquire the player outright if certain sporting goals are achieved during the 2019/2020 financial year. The consideration for the final sale was set at € 8 million, payable in two years".
"There was also the definitive acquisition of the rights to the player Alejandro José Marques Mendez for a consideration of € 8.2 million, payable in two years. Juventus has signed a sports performance contract with the same player until June 30, 2024."
