Justin Kluivert, former Ajax player now playing for Roma, has given an interview to the Dutch newspaper AD.NL. He's obviously talked about Roma but also about his ex team. Yesterday evening, Ajax have knocked out Juventus from Champions League but the Dutch forward has no regrets about leaving the Amsterdam side last summer: "It's useless talking about where I'd be if I'd still be playing in Amsterdam. I still follow the club and I'm happy when they win though. I'm sure I'll do well with Roma as well".

Regrets? "People could think I'd have some but I don't. I'm really happy for my former teammates and hope the best for them. It's wonderful how Ajax is emerging in Europe. Roma almost reached the quarter finals as well, we got out against Porto. I have taken a certain path and I have no regrets. If you're getting in another club as a young player, you can't expect to play all the games from the beginning to the end. That's why you're training but it doesn't work that way. I had already played a lot under Di Francesco's orders but after the coach change, i've immediatly become a starter. Ranieri has come to me from the first moment and he told me he wanted to use my pace, that I had to enjoy football. It was nice to hear such things".

Kluivert is also looking forward to his objectives under the giallorossi's jersey: "My first season isn't going wrong. It's clear I want more though. I've got a lot of confidence because I feel good. I'm a fighter and won't give up. I want to get the fourth spot so that Roma can play in Champions League next season while also thinking about getting in the Dutch national team".
