A comfortable 5-0 win against Liechtenstein in Udine keeps Italy tied with Spain on points but the Spanish have the advantage with a superior goal difference. Commissario tecnico Giampiero Ventura spoke at the post-match press conference: "The first half was useful because it taught the players not to overreact. If we overreact against Spain, things will go awry. Football is a game. The problem was not the chances created but how we developed them. In the second half, we felt confident and serene, as we scored 4 goals and created another 10 chances. I am satisfied. Preoccupied with the next game against Spain? Absolutely not. The game will play out on the field. I am hoping to have a few extra players at my disposal, but we are aware of who are and what we can give. I hope it will be an important game.
