First the goal, then the injury.
It happened in one night for Nicolò Barella, who played against the Portugal Under 21 side in a friendly match in an eventual 3-2 loss. The Italian was forced to leave the field less than 10 minutes from the final whistle and has now left the Azzurri training camp after the ritual tests on his leg, as announced by the club Rossoblù club:
"The Rossoblù midfielder - released from the match due to injury in the 37th minute of the second half of the friendly Portugal-Italy - has undergone instrumental tests that have shown a first degree injury to the left thigh driver. The player, who can not take part in the friendly against France, has returned to Cagliari where he will undergo further tests in the coming days, followed by the club's medical staff".
