The match in Yerevan between Italy and Armenia ended 3-1 in favor of the visitors. There were goals from Belotti and Lorenzo Pellegrini which decided the result. At the end of the match Azzurri CT Roberto Mancini commented to Rai about the encounter: "We knew it would be difficult because there are no easy matches. We got back ater conceding the goal and we could have gone ahead at the half. Their playing being sent off ironically hurt us, they tightened up and we had no space. It's not true that we were arrogant: there were odds against us, with four months off and only two matches played this season there were difficulties, the opponents were already midseason and were on a different level fitness-wise. Chiesa and Bernardeschi needed to play better, but both had conditioning problems: Berna was yet to play and Chiesa had difficult start, but we wanted to keep attacking despite the counterattacks, that has to be our mindset. Verratti suspended? Sensi will play against Finland."
