Udinese's striker Kevin Lasagna received his first Italy call up to replace Simone Zaza for the gaems against Ukraine and Poland. The 26-year-old is the third player called up in place of an injured teammate, after Mancini's choice of Tonelli and Piccini - who received their first call-up too - as Romagnoli and D'Ambrosio replacements.
