After he started off the club season as a protagonist at Chelsea, Jorginho is ready to establish himself on the Italian national team. Today the Italo Brazilian midfielder attended a press conference at Coverciano where he discussed numerous topics, starting with his move to the Premier League: “There’s a difference in tempo and physicality between English and Italian football. However you can’t help but miss a magnificent place like Napoli. There were various things behind my departure from Napoli, the will of just one party is not enough. Sarri is enjoying his adventure in England but he’s not changing much, he’s sticking to his habits. To understand the difference in infrastructure in England you have to experience it. At Cobham we have 38 pitches, enough said”

Jorginho was then asked about the current state of the Azzurri: “We feel the need to bring Italy back to winning ways. The Coach, staff and all of us are determined to get back there and I think we have everything to do so. I always see more enthusiasm in this group. There’s great harmony and this then really helps us on the pitch. Italy is the most important thing. We’re working hard to win and make our people happy. Chiellini sets an example for everyone. His experience and charism are important. Everyone listens to him. For me it’s nice to be regarded as an important part of this team. I want to earn this on the pitch”

Jorginho analyzed his former team’s chances in Serie A this season: “Juventus always starts as favorites and the arrival of Cristiano confirmed it. I don’t see Napoli as being in crisis. I’m sure of what the team is worth. I believe that Hamsik is a very intelligent player but he needs a period of time to adapt as he’s never played that tole. It’s nothing more than that”
