Juventus and Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini talked to the Corriere della Sera about his disappointment after missing the 2018 World Cup qualification: "We are all disappointed, obviously. Maybe we have not realised what happened yet, maybe we will only in June. It doesn't seem possible that we are not participating in the World Cup. But we need to make sure that this disappointment is turned into a rebirth. Now everyone is looking for someone to blame but we need reforms. We need the will to find an agreement, to meet half way. Otherwise our football won't move forward", says Chiellini.
About his future in the national team, Chiellini reveals that he: "had thought of retiring from international duty after the World Cup, but I will take my time and decide when I'll be less emotional than I am right now".
