Inter "can get back to the top by working together", believes Inter legend Javier Zanetti. The Argentinian, in an interview with the Corriere dello Sport, said that the Nerazzurri are "laying the foundations of a bright future. We want to reach a Champions League spot and keep growing as a club. We had a physiological decline after the Treble, also due to three changes in ownership. But now, working together, we can get back to the top".
Zanetti talked also about the past, claiming that "Baggio and Cambiasso were the most clever players I've played with. Esteban was great on the pitch and will be also as a coach. Maradona was a clever and player, too. He had an unique talent, he led Argentina to a World Cup win. The best managers I've worked with in my career are Bielsa, who teaches a lot both on and off the pitch; Simoni, who built a great group in 1998 when we won the UEFA Cup; and Mourinho, who was not how I imagined watching him on TV. I believe that the human values are the key to success in a team, and in Moratti's Inter they were central. It always felt like family to me".
It's difficult to find professional, one-club men in current football like he was, but Zanetti believes that: "Florenzi can be one of them. He is intelligent, professional and determined. He always gives his best: he will be important both for Roma and Italian football".
