After being one of the protagonist of the World Cup, ex-Atletico Madrid defender Sime Vrsaljko returned to Italy to join Inter. The Croatian analysed his first few months with the Nerazzurri in an interview with Sky Sport:
"I am glad to be an Inter player. We are getting better by the day and we have still a lot of room for improvement. We play well and we have to try and win every game. We have to go trough to the next round in the Champions League and then see how far we can go. In the Serie A the title race is still open, we made some mistakes at the beginning of the season but then we bounced back. Be the anti-Juventus? We know we are a strong side, but deeds speak louder than words: there is still a long season ahead of us, we have to think one game at a time and then see what we can achieve".
Vrsaljko also discussed his coach Spalletti's philosophy and the goals for the season: "Here at Inter we try to build up the play starting from the keeper. This is something new to me and I am tryng to improve and adapt to this new playing style as soon as possible. Spalletti wants us to play like this against every opponent, even against Barcelona. Goals for the season? We definitely want to play in the Champions League next season, so we have to finish top four. Let's see what we can do".
