Inter, Thohir:”Icardi, Miranda and Perisic will stay. Yaya’ Toure & Candreva? We’ll need to sell to acquire them”

Inter just finished a season in which they qualified for the Europa League, but the nerazzurri's objective was the Champions League since entering that competition would have also helped them financially. The club's president Erick Thohir discussed the impact of the FFP regulations on the plans for the summer transfer market during an interview to Corriere dello Sport:"It wasn't a perfect season because we failed to qualify for the Champions League because of inconsistency- but it's football and we must accept it. We currently have player wages worth €80 million, and I think even with some adjustments it will remain this way next season. Inter must be at least in the Europa League, but if Mancini does something extraordinary we can arrive in Champions League. The problem would be to be out of European competitions. This is why I say we won't sell 6 of our starters. At most 2 or 3, but not 6. As an example Perisic, Icardi and Miranda are here and if someone asks for them, we won't certainly let them leave, we have a strategy"

Thohir also addressed the rumors on potential incoming players:"If we can acquire Yaya Toure it would be positive for Inter, but we need to understand if it's a deal that is sustainable with the Financial Fair Play regulations and if he can give a positive impact. Candreva? We have Icardi, Perisic, Eder, Palacio, Biabiany and Jovetic up front, if we bring Candreva who would play? I have yet to meet with Lotito, before thinking of a potential Candreva acquisition we need to sell some of our players and we must understand if this is an operation sustainable with our finances"
