Inter, the post match reaction from Spalletti after the defeat versus Sassuolo

Inter suffered defeat on Saturday at home against Sassuolo. Berardi and Politano scored in the San Siro against the hosts, whose lone goal from Rafinha was not enough to secure any points in the important match for Champions League qualification. After, coach Luciano Spalletti commented to Sky Sport about the meaning of the result: “From an organizational standpoint we were not lucid and clean in our decisions but we worked hard to create opportunities. Sassuolo closed down well and we were not able to track Berardi and Politano who found space between the midfield and the defense. They played with seriousness, did what they needed to do, and absolutely they earned it. We were forced to run back to defend too much and our attack suffered because of it. A win today would have made many things possible in the match against Lazio next week. The players gave their heart today and they’re distraught over it.
