After the disappointing draw against Chievo, Inter issued a statement to announce Radja Nainggolan’s suspension. Today while answering questions at the pre match press conference to introduce the Boxing Day match against Napoli, manager Luciano Spalletti was asked about the former Roma midfielder:”We’re very sorry not to have him since he’s a great players but the rules on a team are as important as the ball. He isn’t off the squad, he’s out for this match and then he’ll practice and go back to being part of the group”
Spalletti gave some background to the decision to suspend Nainggolan:”Sometimes you look for a culpable person but we are Zhang’s inter and it’s Zhang’s Inter that made this decision and I have to respect the rules. But after these 2/3 days Nainggolan will be part of the team and we’ll wait for his contribution”
