The second defeat of the season (in four games) occurred today for Luciano Spalletti's Inter: a 1-0 loss to Parma at the San Siro thanks to a splendid goal from Federico Dimarco. The Nerazzurri coach commented on the match to the Sky Sport microphones:
"It is clear that being Inter and playing at the San Siro we cannot win matches - we already find ourselves with two defeats and it becomes difficult to find excuses or motivations after this. We have to do more, I have responsibilities: if what Inter offers is this here, even if we have done well for long stretches, it means that we must to do more because we have greater potential: I am responsible and my work can be questioned."
"Until we conceded the goal, we were playing well. Too much conviction in our means? No, the boys are humble. Instead, I saw too much tension, the confusion coming out of the attempt to do something different. Politano, for example: I put him in fresh in the 60', but he could not do anything because of too much tension".
Spalletti also commented on the moment that saw the protagonist for Parma (Federico Dimarco) score a goal, but also use his arm in his own penalty area to deflect a shot: "This is resounding. They made me review it later, a sensational moment. Did I expect it to be reviewed by VAR? I do not know how it works, but he deflected the ball with his arm in the box. It's clear enough, the ball can go in or off the post and in. I am sorry that Parma entered the field to obstruct, as we have seen with Sepe, who threw another ball on the pitch."
