With Juventus holding the upper hand for Lukaku, the options for sending Icardi away from Milan are lesser by one. The Argentine continue to require a new club for next season, and talks with Roma could be set to reopen. Roma's sporting director Petrachi was set to make an inquiry back in June, but was denied by Inter. But in the last few hours there have been new contacts made with Inter, where the deal take shape for a swap including Dzeko between the clubs, which could be the most concrete option for Inter and Icardi at the moment.
Initially, Icardi was open to a move to Rome, there will still be work to do on agreeing on the wages for the player, as well as the respective evaluations and additional player insertions to consider for both sides.
