After making the Lisandro Lopez deal official, Inter are focused on bolstering Spalletti’s midfield. The nerazzurri’s sporting director Piero Ausilio is on his way to Barcelona to continue the negotiation for Rafinha in person. While the blaugrana are asking to increase the option to buy in the deal from the current offer of €20 million plus €3 million in bonuses, Rafinha’s representatives (Alex Boesch and his father Mazinho) have reiterated that Inter is a destination the player appreciates very much also because he has already agreed to terms with the Italian club. Inter are expected to raise their offer, and there’s optimism the deal could be reached today which is the reason Ausilio is traveling to Spain to negotiate in person.
