Mauro Icardi will be the focus of Inter's Monday night tie against Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris. The striker will return to Genova to face the club he played for two seasons for. And much of the conversation around Icardi has been his path of making his way into Argentina's national team. His Inter coach Stefano Pioli reacted in his pre-match press conference: "The players responded well in training, at the beginning they had to work their way back from the break. Icardi is motivated and happy, I believe that being called up for Argentina would be monumental for Icardi." Pioli also was asked about Sampdoria player Schick as it revolves around Inter's summer transfer window: "There are many strong young Italian players, I am aware of them and when the moment is right I will talk to the club about them. Schick? I am thinking about my players, who I like a lot. This is not the time to talk about the market and if I had spoken to the club I certainly wouldn't admit it."
