Inter’s dream of bringing Luka Modric to Serie A relies on the meeting between Modric and Real Madrid President Florentino Perez.
It is all in the hands of Modric who will have to free himself from the club in a face to face meeting with the president of Real Madrid.
The player will rely on the gentleman agreement that exists with Perez; Inter has reassurances on this and if Florentino maintains this commitment that he gave to the midfielder long ago, Modric will start a new adventure away from Madrid.
The initial reaction from Perez will be important, if signs are positive, Inter can proceed with negotiations (between commissions and the agreement on the contract that already exists). They will rely on the agents of the player that the conditions of an exit are favorable (as promised in case he had asked to leave).
A decisive meeting, therefore, between the will of the player and the gentleman’s agreement that will try and become enforced: now everything is in the hands of Perez and whether he intends to keep that promise or not.
