Inter, meeting finished between Pioli-Ausilio-Suning: All transfer market situations

The meeting in China between Piero Ausilio, Stefano Pioli and the Inter ownership to plan ahead has just come to an end. The sporting director and coach are now returning back home from the East after many topics were covered.

The current transfer window was also discussed. Leaving the clubs are the likes of Felipe Melo, who seems destined to join Palmeiras. Stefan Jovetic on the other hand could leave further ahead in time. Fiorentina isn’t the only team after the Montenegro striker, interest from the Bundesliga is apparent as well.

In terms of purchases, an appropriate find for the midfield is being searched for with no rush. The possibility of getting Lucas Leiva from Liverpool remains the simplest solution despite the operation not being closed yet. The alternative remains Luiz Gustavo, midfielder class of 1987. The Wolfsburg midfielder seems to be the preferred option by Inter management; all they’re waiting for is to see whether or not the operation is feasible. The Atalanta midfielder Gagliardini remains a plausible option: The current plan is more for June given the difficulty of the negotiations in January.

Lastly, the meeting confirmed the great deal of trust in Ausilio from the Suning ownership. The Italian sporting director will be in talks for a renewal after the January transfer market session. The same trust has been shown for current coach Stefano Pioli. Current signs suggest that unless something changes in the plans of the ownership, there is willingness to continue with both Italians as sporting director and coach respectively.
