At this point, it's no longer a question if Romelu Lukaku will leave Inter, but rather how much it will cost Chelsea to acquire him. The Belgian striker has already told the nerazzurri that he wants to join the Blues, their offer convinced him after some initial reservations.
Lukaku feels like he has unfinished business at Chelsea, he didn't fully convince the club when he joined them at a young age but now he could make up for it at a time the Blues are very ambitious. It's not a matter of money, but rather a sporting reason.
Lukaku had turned down Manchester City's offer last spring, but Conte and Hakimi's departure as well as Inter's financial difficulties have made their project less appealing, Lukaku hasn't asked Inter to match Chelsea's offer because he's aware of their situation.
Inter will look to maximize on Lukaku's sale so they can end departures from the senior team, the main target to replace Lukaku is currently Duvan Zapata, with whom they have an agreement in principle and would cost around €40 million. It remains to be seen if Inter could also add a second player up front with Lazio's Correa as the main possibility.
