As a result of Mauro Icardi’s absence, Lautaro Martinez has been able to play regularly at Inter. The Argentine striker discussed his current situation in an interview with Sky Sport:”I’m very happy with what I’m currently experiencing. I want to continue this way, train and give everything to this team. I just want to focus on working, give my best and try to score at every opportunity. Physically I feel very well because of the work I do in training, I always give my best in practices so I can be ready when given a chance”
The striker discussed Inter’s season so far:”We are in third place, but we lost a lot of points that we should have brought home, we must get as many points as possible to keep third place. Spalletti? I’m comfortable with him, he helps me and I’m very happy to have him as my manager, I try to pay him back with my performances and goals”
Lautaro Martinez discussed his relationship with Icardi:”Today is Mauro’s birthday and we sent him our wishes, he was happy to be with us. We’ll continue to support him, his future will depend by his choices and by those who manage him rather than his teammates. For us he’s a very important player and we hope to have him back soon”.
