After a flying start to the Serie A season with six wins out of six games, Inter prepare to face their toughest challenge yet. The Nerazzurri will in fact play against Juventus in San Siro in the Derby d'Italia, in a six-pointer that will have as one of its protagonists Lautaro Martinez. The Argentinian striker discussed the upcoming match e what changed under new coach Antonio Conte with Sky Sport: "They have many big players, it will be a very tough games for us, as it was the game on Wednesday [vs Barcelona]. We will try to recover a bit of fitness in order to be 100% ready for the Juventus game. Since Conte's arrival, he called me and said that he wanted me to be part of his team. I like him very much as a coach, he demands hard work, with a lot of intensity. We have a different mentality thanks to the coach and our teammates. We will try to do our best in every match and then we will se where we get."
The Argentina international then touched upon the defeat against Barcelona and his future: "The Barcelona game taught us a lot of things. We already knew how strong our opponent was and that we had to put some extra effort. We didn't get the win because we made some mistakes, mistakes that we will try to fix and get better together with the coach. Playing with Messi at Barca? I only think about and play for Inter. When I get to play alongside him in the national team it's like a dream for me. I've always admired him, since I was a child, but my focus it's only on Inter".
Finally, Lautaro was asked about his friend and fellow Argentinian Mauro Icardi, who left for PSG on deadline day: "It was a problem between him and the club. He needed to play, so I'm happy for him. We have talked in the past weeks, just as I talk with other players. He is a friend of mine, he helped me a lot when I first came here at Inter", concluded Lautaro.
