The future of Mauro Icardi at Inter is more uncertain than ever, as the club seems adamant that the Argentine is not going to be a part of Conte’s plans for next season.
The former Nerazzurri’s captain and his wife-agent Wanda Nara returned to Milan on Thursday, while on Friday the had lunch with their entourage, in order to discuss the player’s strong desire to stay at Inter. Icardi’s priority is to join his teammates for the pre-season retreat and prove his desire to stay at Inter.
On the flipside, Inter have made their decision: the club made clear that Icardi won’t be part of the plans for next season, so much so that the Nerazzurri’s idea is to buy two strikers (one of those being Dzeko) in the current transfer window, so to have four strikers in their squad. In the light of the aforementioned developments, Inter have asked Wanda Nara to hold an urgent meeting, during which both parties will reiterate their will. This tug of war will most probably go on at least until Icardi will realise, during the summer retreat, that Inter and Conte don’t count on him.
