His only season with Inter was not one to remember for Brazilian striker Gabriel Barbosa. The 22-year old, currently on loan at Santos - his childhood club - has found his form back in Brazil, becoming the league top goalscoarer this season so far. But Gabigol has other plans for the future: "I am still young and I have a lot of goals that I want to reach. One of those is winning something with Inter - Barbosa said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport - There were a lot of expectations around me [when I came to Inter], I gave my best but it wasn't enough.
Here in Brazil everything is going great, I'm really happy. My loan here will end on the 31st of December, then we'll see. I have a contract with Inter trough 2021. I want to win with Inter. The disappointing first season in Italy will help me improve".
