Another defeat, the second consecutive one after the first round loss against the Israeli team Hapoel Beer Sheva: Inter's road in the Europa League is becoming increasingly more difficult. After losing 3-1 today against Sparta Prague, the coach of the nerazzurri, Frank de Boer, had a few post-game comments for Sky Sport: "In football, the first important thing is always your attitude: after that you can begin talking about tactics," - the Dutch coach continued - "On the second goal, we were not being careful, and for me, what happened is nearly impossible. We gifted them a goal because we weren't concentrated on the match. In the second half we played better, but it was still not how I would like to see my team play. The sending off of Ranocchia represented the final blow for us: in that moment, I thought we could tie, or who knows, even win, but after the red card, I understood that we could no longer come back. We must change our attitude, because otherwise all of our other games will be difficult.
A change of formation for Inter, and key players like Perisic and Icardi were rested at the start. De Boer, however, assured that the Europa League is not a secondary commitment: "I don't believe that the Europa League is a secondary objective for us. I changed a few players:Gnoukouri for example, hasn't played many games and we have to try him in games like this because there is the possibility that he will play on Sunday, the same with Candreva. We have quality in the team and changing players like Perisic and Icardi doesn't mean that the Europa League is of secondary importance," - the Inter coach concluded - "I thought about our many commitments."
