Following their Champions League elimination, Inter returned to Serie A play and mounted a come-back victory against Cagliari, winning the match 3-1. Inter manager Antonio Conte spoke on the team's performance.
"Compliments to the guys. They were great. In the first half, we created a lot and found ourselves down a goal. When there are these situations, it can cloud the brain and also the choices. A manager should be worried when a team does not create chances. Inter creates in every match. If at times nothing comes from them, the players get a little anxious."
"I don't like talking about individuals. I evaluate the performance of everyone. Today it was positive both for what we produced and finding the strength to win against a difficult team. We are with our helmet and under water. There are two aspects of the match: it was played as we prepared and then we needed to throw our heart at other obstacles. The elimination from Champions League was in the heads and legs of our players."
