After the international break, Inter prepare to return to Serie A action with the derby against Milan. The Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte discussed the main themes of the clash versus the cross-city rivals in the pre-match press conference: "We try to do well in every game we play, each game is important. The derby is a tricky game, we have a strong team and we want to do well."
Conte then touched upon two players that could not be in the starting XI tomorrow for different reasons: Alexis Sanchez and Christian Eriksen: "Sanchez returned last night from international duty with muscle fatigue. We will evaluate the situation and try to be careful. This is the first game of a long series of fixtures. We will evaluate the situation with the player and take a controlled risk, also taking his thoughts on the matter into account. Eriksen? I do what is right and good for the team. I am happy with how he settled in at Inter and I think he is happy to work with me and my staff. He will get his chance because there is a long season ahead. I have to make my choices and I think Eriksen has had chances like everyone else and showed his worth".
