Newly-appointed Inter coach Antonio Conte discussed some of the club's plan for the future in an interview with the BBC: "Inter are a top club, with great history. They have the same ambition to win throphies as I have. That's why I decided to come here".
The coach was also asked about some of the rumoured target of the Nerazzurri: "Lukaku? It's difficult to talk about this, of course we have a plan to bolster the team. The important thing is to have the ambition to close the gap [with other teams]. A meeting with the Manchester United about Lukaku? No, right now there's the sporting director that has to answer transfer related questions. We are focused on making the first steps to working together. Alexis Sanchez? Ask the sporting director".
Finally, Conte talked about the former Inter captain Icardi: "We'll assess every situation and we will make the best decisions with the club. We will work very hard to get our top choices because the club is the most important thing. I haven't talked with Icardi, I am just starting to know this new environment and to prepare for this new challenge".
