With Samir Handanovic struggling to recover from an injury to his left hand, Inter are evaluating their options for the goalkeeper position. The Slovenian shot-stopper missed in fact Inter's last two games, with Daniele Padelli coming in as a replacement in goal. During the derby, the only other option as a goalkeeper was young prospet Stankovic, as also third-choice keeper Berni was banned for the game.
This situation could put Inter in an uncomfortable position for the remainder of the season, that is why the Nerazzurri are considering the signing of Emiliano Viviano, currently a free agent, in order to have another option for the goal. The former SPAL goalkeeper will undergo a medical and some more tests today in order to assess his current form and then decide whether to sign him or not.
